Ethics

Photography in the field

  1. We consider ourselves observers.
  2. We do not compel the wildlife to behave differently from how they will normally behave.
  3. We do not entice the wildlife with food.
  4. We do not use setup to lure the wildlife.
  5. We photograph the wildlife in its natural habitat.
  6. In macro photography, we will as much as possible photograph the subject as we find it. However, when it is physically impossible, we may move the subject to a different location and return it to its original location after photography.
  7. We do not freeze or kill subjects when doing photography.

Post-processing

  1. We process our photographs to match what we have observed in the field as much as possible which includes colour, contrast and exposure correction; and noise removal.
  2. We do not alter the photographs by adding or removing objects. If we do so for any reason (e.g. experimentation), we will provide a disclaimer.
